What is Qlik Data Integrate (QDI) and what is NodeGraph?
Qlik Replicate (formerly Attunity Replicate) is a high-performance data replication software for SQL Server databases, enabling organizations to accelerate and reduce the costs of distributing, sharing and ensuring the availability of data for meeting business operations and business intelligence needs.
Qlik Compose (formerly Attunity Compose) delivers new-generation ETL automation for an agile data warehouse. It automates data warehouse design, development, testing, deployment and change management.
NodeGraph is an automated data intelligence platform that reveals real-time insights into your data and analytics — all the way from data creation to data consumption — and make quicker, validated and smarter decisions. Using automated data lineage, cataloging, testing and more, NodeGraph helps to simplify data and analytics governance, data discovery and data collaboration.
Providing field-level data lineage for QDI with NodeGraph
For Qlik Replicate
When connecting a database connector to the source database, NodeGraph automatically produces field-level lineage for the source to target movement and for the transformation task that has been applied, ex. rename field, skip field, etc.
When no database connector is used for source database, NodeGraph shows lineage on a table-level and for the transformation task that has been applied, ex. rename field, skip field, etc. (shown as a list under the Replicate task).
For Qlik Compose
NodeGraph shows the landing table, the data warehouse table and the ETL task, ex. transformations like renames, concatenations and expressions.
As a standard NodeGraph function, you can always decide which columns to include in your solution (these can be modified on the fly for different use cases) and you can organize the visual presentation (complete with customizable naming, sorting and location of the columns).
